GRRL x Made of Oak announce new EP ‘Hardcore’

We’re excited to announce the new EP, Hardcore, from the North Carolina-based producer duo GRRL x Made of Oak! For the uninitiated, GRRL’s James Mapley-Brittle is one of the brightest emerging stars in the underground arts space, and a regular collaborator with PC Music and NTS; Nick Sanborn is better known as one half of the GRAMMY-nominated electronic pop duo Sylvan Esso, and for his production work with Mountain Man, Flock of Dimes, Caroline Rose, The Tallest Man on Earth, among others.
Out today is the EP’s title track “Hardcore,” that you can listen to here and watch the visualizer for the song created/directed by constant GxM collaborators Aaron Anderson and Eric Timothy Carlson!

Since the release of Inertia, the duo’s unique creative chemistry has only grown – their glitched-out sounds have been featured on Adult Swim, Fortnite, and with their own sample pack on Splice, as well as found new fans in the likes of Björk, Arca, AG Cook, Porter Robinson, Barker and more.
GRRL and Made of Oak also have a number of upcoming live performances confirmed for this fall, including stops at Levitation Festival in Austin and at Market Hotel in New York. Full list of shows are below.
